Where can I source genuine HP 414X toner cartridges through distribution?

A client needs a full set of genuine HP 414X toner cartridges, but the four cartridges together cost around $1,000. D&H doesn't appear to stock them, and the usual retail and VAR pricing is nearly identical. Has anyone had success sourcing OEM HP toner through a distributor, or knows whether Genuine Ink is a legitimate supplier with reasonably fresh inventory? I'm hoping to purchase through distribution and retain a small margin.

Genuine HP toner is expensive, and the normal VARs—such as CDW, Insight, or office-supply retailers—usually sell it close to retail pricing. If you specifically want distribution pricing, you’ll probably need to be an authorized HP partner. D&H may not be an authorized HP ink and toner distributor anymore.

That makes sense. I checked the usual suppliers and they do carry the cartridges, but the prices are all very close. I’ve started the HP authorization process through my Ingram account so I can try buying them through distribution.

For OEM cartridges like the 414X, distributors generally restrict sales to authorized HP partners. Once your partner status is approved, check availability through your distributor account. Otherwise, established VARs are the safer option, since third-party suppliers may have older stock or unclear sourcing.
