People often describe the PS5's GPU as being roughly comparable to an RTX 2070 Super, RX 5700 XT, or RX 6700, with a Zen 2-based CPU somewhere around a Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen 7 3700X. How accurate are those comparisons in practice? What PC hardware would realistically match a PS5 or Xbox Series S at similar image quality and frame rates, especially when playing on a large 4K TV? Since consoles have fixed hardware, optimized games, dedicated decompression and audio features, and a lightweight operating system, could a PC with similar specifications perform noticeably worse?
