I'm feeling pretty frustrated because I think my motherboard might be failing. For the past few days, my mouse scrolls on its own, and sometimes I can't click anything at all. Other times, I can click some things, but not others. This isn't just happening in games; it seems to occur everywhere on my computer. I've already run multiple virus scans, reset my whole PC using a USB, and even tested it with Linux. I'm at my wit's end and seriously considering just tossing my computer out the window!

Try placing your mouse on a clean surface, like a piece of cardboard or some paper. Sometimes a dirty mousepad can cause weird mouse behavior!
Have you tried using a different mouse? It sounds simple, but sometimes peripherals can cause these kinds of issues. If you're still having problems with a different mouse, it might be something more serious.
I feel you! My work computer had a similar issue recently. Besides trying another mouse, have you swapped out your keyboard or tried plugging both into different USB ports? Sometimes that can clear up weird behavior. Let us know what happens!
