I've had this PC for about a year without any problems, including while playing demanding games and competitive titles. However, when I started playing Valorant, the system began freezing or stuttering roughly every three seconds. It initially seemed to happen only when I was also in a Discord call, but the problem continued even after restarting the PC and using my phone for the call. Eventually, the stuttering started on the desktop as well. My CPU temperature looks normal, and Valorant reports around 600 FPS. I've already updated my graphics drivers and changed a few in-game settings, but nothing has fixed it. My specs are a Ryzen 7 7700X, NVIDIA RTX 5060, B850 motherboard, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB SSD. What should I troubleshoot next?

Try disabling every overlay first, including the game overlay, voice-chat overlay, recording tools, and hardware-monitoring OSDs. Anti-cheat software can sometimes conflict with programs that hook into games. Also update your chipset and other hardware drivers, not just the graphics driver. Reinstall the game's anti-cheat component in case it became corrupted, and consider preventing it from launching automatically with Windows. Finally, cap Valorant’s FPS instead of leaving it unlimited. A very high frame rate can leave the GPU with no headroom for Discord, a second monitor, or other background tasks.
