What cooling setup should I use for a quiet workstation and gaming PC?

I'm putting together a high-end PC for digital sculpting and game development using ZBrush, Marvelous Designer, Substance 3D Painter, and Unreal Engine. So far I have a Gigabyte Z890 AORUS PRO ICE WIFI7 motherboard and a Gigabyte AORUS MASTER ICE GeForce RTX 5080 16GB. I'm considering the white Corsair 5400 RS-RGB mid-tower case and have about $4,500 for the complete build. I'd prefer an AIO liquid cooler if it provides a practical benefit, but keeping noise low is important to me. What CPU, memory, power supply, storage, and cooling setup would make sense, and which AIO models would fit this case?

Before choosing a cooler, pick the CPU and confirm the case's radiator support. A 360 mm AIO is a sensible option for a powerful high-end processor, provided the case supports its thickness and installation position. The Arctic Liquid Freezer III is a strong value choice, although its radiator and fans are thicker than many other AIOs. Thermalright has decent LCD-equipped options, while Lian Li offers more premium models. A custom loop would cost more and require considerably more planning and maintenance, so it isn't necessary for this build.

The RTX 5080 already includes its own graphics-card cooling, so the liquid cooler would only handle the CPU. For your software, prioritize a strong modern CPU, plenty of RAM—64 GB is a reasonable starting point, with 96 or 128 GB useful for larger projects—fast NVMe storage, and a quality power supply with enough capacity and the proper GPU connector. Also check the exact radiator, pump, RAM, and GPU clearance in the case rather than buying a cooler based only on its advertised size.

Liquid cooling isn't automatically quieter or better. A good large air cooler can be very quiet and usually costs less, while an AIO adds a pump that can eventually fail. The performance difference is often modest unless the CPU is a particularly power-hungry model or you want to sustain heavy all-core workloads. Choose an AIO if you prefer the appearance, need the clearance, or want the extra thermal headroom; otherwise, a high-end air cooler is worth considering.
