Which GPU offers the best value around €650 for a future 1440p OLED setup?

I recently ordered a Radeon 9070 16GB from a major retailer, but the package contained e-waste instead, so the return is still being processed. I doubt I'll find another 9070 for €650 soon, so I'm comparing other options available from trustworthy stores in my region. Current prices are approximately: Radeon 9060 XT 16GB for €550, 9070 GRE for €600, 9070 for €690 when available, and 9070 XT for €800. My system has a Ryzen 7 5800X, an ASRock B350 Pro4 with PCIe 3.0, 32GB of RAM, an 850W power supply, and a GTX 1070 Ti. I currently play at 1080p but expect to upgrade to a 1440p OLED display. Which card offers the best performance and value for this budget?

There may be a 9070 XT available for around €750 from the retailer itself, which would be a very good deal if the seller and return process are trustworthy. However, being listed as sold directly by the retailer is not a complete guarantee after what happened with your previous order.

That’s my concern too. The previous card was also listed as being sold directly by the retailer, so I’m not sure I want to rely on that label alone.

The 9070 XT is obviously the fastest choice, but “best” depends on price-to-performance. At €800 it may be difficult to justify compared with a €600 9070 GRE, especially if you’re trying to stay near €650. For a future 1440p display, I’d choose the GRE unless you can find the XT at a genuinely reliable €750 price.

I’d focus on the 9070 GRE or the standard 9070. The 9070 XT is noticeably faster, but €800 is a significant jump and makes the value proposition weaker. The 9060 XT 16GB seems less attractive for gaming when the GRE is only around €50 more.
