I'm looking for some advice on how to convince my parents to buy me a gaming PC. My dad has some knowledge about hardware since he works in coding, and I've already put together a plan for all the parts I want and the best deals I could find. The issue is that I currently have a 2023 MacBook and my parents think that it can handle everything I need. They also worry about me getting addicted to gaming. I'm hoping to find some strategies or persuasive points to help change their minds!

As a parent and software engineer, I'd say think about making it a bonding activity. Instead of just asking for a PC, suggest building it together. It could be a fun project where you both pick out parts and play games afterwards. That might sway them to consider it!
Your parents have a point about the Mac handling most tasks, especially since Macs aren't really known for gaming. You might want to consider if you already have a console, since that could be a more affordable option for playing games.
Totally! Consoles are usually cheaper and still a blast.
