Why am I getting lower FPS than expected on my new PC build?

I'm experiencing some performance issues with my first PC build, which includes an RTX 4060, a Ryzen 5 5500, and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. I've been checking out YouTube benchmark videos, and they show much higher FPS than what I'm getting. For example, I'm struggling to maintain 120 FPS on low settings in CSGO2, while the benchmarks show about 200 FPS. Here are the full specs of my build:
- RTX 4060
- Ryzen 5 5500
- 32GB DDR4 RAM
- Gamedias Kratos E1 600W PSU
- 1TB SSD

Any ideas on why my FPS is so low? Thanks!

Another point is the quality of your PSU. The Gamedias Kratos E1 has had some mixed reviews, and it might not deliver consistent power to your GPU. Make sure the cables are connected properly and consider using a tool like MSI Afterburner to check the GPU voltage. A weak PSU can definitely cause performance drops!

A lot of things can affect FPS, like resolution and settings. Are you benchmarking at the same resolution as those videos? Sometimes people use frame generation or upscaling, which your setup might not be doing. Try running some benchmarks like Timespy to get an accurate comparison.

Your CPU might be bottlenecking the RTX 4060 since the Ryzen 5 5500 supports PCIe 3.0, which can limit the data throughput. This is especially noticeable if your CPU can’t handle the demands of the GPU efficiently. Consider upgrading to a stronger CPU or checking if you have the latest BIOS updates that might optimize performance.

That makes sense! I’ll look into upgrading. Thanks for that!

First, you should check your RAM speed. If you're using DDR4 at 3200MHz, that’s decent, but make sure you're running the correct profile in BIOS. Also, keep an eye on your cooling system; high temperatures can throttle performance. Have you tried updating your drivers and enabling XMP for your RAM? It could help a lot!

Thanks for the tips! I hadn't thought about updating drivers. I'll check that.
