I'm planning a new gaming PC—or possibly upgrading an existing setup—for 1920×1080 gaming at 240Hz. I want the highest and most stable FPS possible on Ultra or maximum settings, especially in Counter-Strike 2, BeamNG.drive, Fortnite, GTA V and GTA Online/RP, Apex Legends, Rust, Dota 2, Valorant, League of Legends, Team Fortress 2, Garry's Mod, Minecraft, and EA SPORTS FC 26.
The priority is excellent competitive-game performance, high average FPS, and strong 1% lows so the system can make good use of a 240Hz display. I also want reasonable performance headroom rather than a build that is already operating at its limit. I understand that some CPU-heavy games or engine-limited situations may not hold 240 FPS at maximum settings consistently.
Please recommend specific models for the CPU, GPU, motherboard, and RAM, along with an explanation of how you would balance the parts. I'm particularly interested in whether spending more on the CPU would improve FPS and frame-time consistency more than investing in a stronger GPU at 1080p. I'd also like advice on choosing between 32GB and 64GB of memory, and whether it is worth preparing for a future upgrade to a higher-refresh or higher-resolution monitor.
I don't have a fixed budget yet because I first want to understand what configuration best fits these games and requirements. After narrowing down the ideal parts, I can set a realistic budget and adjust the build if necessary.

Before anyone can recommend a genuinely optimal parts list, you’ll need to set at least a rough budget. A 1080p/240Hz build can range from a sensible upper-midrange system to an expensive enthusiast setup, and the extra money does not always translate into noticeably better results at this resolution. Your location also matters because local pricing and bundle deals can change which CPU, motherboard, or memory kit makes the most sense. Once those details are known, the build can be balanced around your games instead of just choosing the most powerful parts available.

I wanted to identify the best-fitting configuration first and then decide how much I’m comfortable spending, but I understand that pricing and regional availability will affect the final recommendation.
