I'm in the United States and planning a new gaming PC, but I'm unsure whether to buy the parts now or wait for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I'm especially concerned about RAM and GPU prices, since they don't seem to be falling and may continue rising. Would it make sense to buy those components now and wait on the rest, or are holiday discounts usually significant enough to justify waiting? I'm also open to bundle deals or suggestions for lowering the cost of the build.

There’s no guaranteed best day to buy. Black Friday and Cyber Monday can bring worthwhile discounts, but some advertised deals are simply normal prices with a temporary label. If you need the computer soon and the current price is acceptable, buying now is reasonable. Otherwise, watch prices during the week before and after Black Friday and set alerts for the parts you care about.
I’d also review the parts list before ordering. There may be cheaper versions of the same cooler and memory, and a less expensive case can provide similar airflow. A quality 850W power supply may also cost less than the current choice. Those changes could save roughly $100 without significantly changing the system, which is more reliable than hoping every part gets a major Cyber Monday discount.
RAM and graphics cards are the components I’d be least willing to delay for a small theoretical discount. Their prices have been moving upward, and holiday sales may not offset that. Monitors, cases, coolers, and peripherals are generally more likely to receive meaningful discounts, so those are better candidates for waiting.
Check whether a nearby computer retailer offers CPU, motherboard, and memory bundles. Those packages can save more than waiting for a general holiday sale. If the closest store is several hours away, see whether it ships the same bundles or compare its pricing with major online retailers. Just make sure the return policies and component compatibility work for you.
