Which RAM Should I Choose for My Setup?

Hey everyone! I just discovered that one of my RAM sticks is dead. I'm currently using an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D with a Radeon 6900XT on a B550 motherboard. I'm trying to decide which RAM sticks to get and have been looking into two options: the G.Skill Trident Z CL18 3600MHz and the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro CL16 3200MHz. Any recommendations?

Honestly, just go for whatever is cheaper. In many cases, the pricing difference can be significant, and both will perform well enough for gaming and multitasking.

I agree with what TechieJoe said! I've used both brands in different builds, and while they do perform well, I found that the Corsair RAM tends to work great with AMD CPUs. For instance, I've upgraded multiple systems and had good experiences with both, but if you're looking for the best bang for your buck, definitely check current prices. I lucked out with Corsair last year!

Thanks for the insight! I think I'm leaning toward the Trident Z or maybe even the Royal version. Appreciate the help!

Both options are pretty solid and you'll likely get similar performance from each. I'd personally lean towards the G.Skill Trident Z. It generally has a good reputation and looks great too!

Got it! I just wanted to check since I know there can be some latency differences and such.
