Find My contacts missing after transferring to a new iPhone

I transferred my data through an iCloud backup from an iPhone 14 running iOS 26 to an iPhone 18 Pro. Since the switch, only some of my Find My contacts appear correctly; the rest show "No location found." I've restarted the phone, confirmed Find My is using the new device, installed the latest bug-fix update, and tried toggling location sharing and permissions off and on. Friends nearby can sometimes be found, and other people can see my location, but I still can't see theirs. Has anyone found a fix, or does Find My need time to finish syncing after a phone transfer?

I also experienced this after transferring from an older iPhone to the 18 Pro. People can see my location, while I can’t see some of theirs, even with the old phone turned off. That suggests the new phone is registered correctly, but the contact locations aren’t syncing properly yet.

I’m seeing the same behavior after moving to the iPhone 18 Pro. Find My works normally on my other Apple devices, but several contacts remain stuck on “No location found” on the new phone. Restarting and reinstalling the available update didn’t resolve it.

Same issue here. I tried disabling and re-enabling location sharing, changing Find My permissions, and hiding and restoring contacts, but none of the toggles made a difference. It seems more likely to be a compatibility or syncing bug than a setting on the individual phones.
