I have an MSI MAG Tomahawk motherboard and need to secure an NVMe drive in the M.2 slot, but I'm not sure which screw or mounting hardware it takes. The system is a prebuilt that was switched from an Intel platform to an AM5 motherboard, and I don't know the exact Tomahawk model. Do these boards use a standard M.2 screw, or could it require an EZ M.2 Clip?

The exact model matters because MSI has several MAG Tomahawk boards, such as B550, B760, and AM5 versions. Check the text printed directly on the motherboard for the full model name, or look through the motherboard manual. Most models use a tiny M.2 mounting screw that threads into a small standoff, while some newer boards use MSI’s EZ M.2 Clip instead. Check the original motherboard box or manual for the included hardware, and avoid forcing a random screw into the standoff since it’s easy to damage the threads.
Look for the complete motherboard model printed near the PCIe slots, memory slots, or around the M.2 area.
