My cat urinated on my USB-C charger, and I accidentally plugged it into my Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. The phone was powered off while I tried cleaning inside the USB-C port with a paper straw, but there is still a noticeable odor from both the port and the charger. The "Check charger/USB port" warning keeps appearing. What should I do to protect the phone and clean it safely?

The charger should be discarded or recycled, even if it seems to work; urine residue can remain inside the connector and damage another device. Don’t keep testing the phone with different cables. If the alert does not clear after it has dried completely, get the USB-C port checked before attempting to charge it again.
Thanks, I’ll stop testing it and replace the charger. I’m more concerned about the phone, so I’ll have the port professionally inspected if the warning continues.
