Troubleshooting Motherboard Issues with New CPU Cooler

I have a Gigabyte B650E Ice motherboard that was running smoothly with the ID Cooling IS55 cooler. Recently, I tried installing an AXP90 copper cooler, but once I did, the motherboard started acting up. I removed and reattached the cooler multiple times while troubleshooting late into the night. I reseated the CPU each time and applied new thermal paste. I even tested a new single stick of RAM, but nothing seemed to work, and when I reverted to the original cooler, the motherboard still wouldn't boot. After giving up and going to bed, I tried again the next day, and it booted up just fine. Now, I'm puzzled about the AXP90 copper—could it be shorting the motherboard? Any suggestions?

You might not have the right mounting pressure with the new cooler. Too much or too little can cause issues with contact, leading to boot failures. Just a possibility to consider.

It might be a loose connection somewhere, especially if the motherboard won't boot without detecting a cooler. Some boards even have safety features that stop them from booting under certain conditions like missing cooler or open case. Just a thought!

I checked all the connections multiple times—24 pin, 8 pin, CPU fan, and power switch cable. Everything was secure.
