I'm putting together a PC with the following components: an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X 8-Core processor, ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 A-RGB cooler, ASUS TUF GAMING B650-PLUS motherboard, GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7800 XT 16GB GPU, SAMSUNG 990 EVO Plus 2TB SSD, Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB DDR5 RAM, CORSAIR RM750x power supply, and an ASUS 27" 170Hz WQHD monitor. I'm using a Razer Basilisk V3 mouse and running Windows 11 Home. I'll mostly be playing shooter games and some single-player ones like Cyberpunk and Doom. I have about $50 left to spend—should I change anything? Also, do I need to grab extra accessories like a fan splitter? I'm a bit lost on that.

You might want to consider swapping your CPU for the Ryzen 5 9600X and your GPU for an RTX 5070. The 9600X has a bit less performance overall but could save some cash, while the RTX 5070 will give you solid graphics. Just make sure the GPU meets your needs for VRAM, as the 12GB might be a bit limiting in the future for some games.

Is the 5070 still good for high settings in modern titles if it only has 12GB of VRAM?

Yeah, I heard it performs pretty well, especially for 1080p and 1440p gaming. Just monitor how it handles newer titles.

With your budget, you're probably fine sticking with your current setup. Just make sure you check if you need a fan splitter for your RGB fans to sync everything properly. Other than that, I’d say you're good to go!

What kind of fan splitter do you recommend?

Any basic 3-pin or 4-pin splitter should work, just match it to your fan type!
