My computer is connected to Wi-Fi, and applications such as Steam, Discord, and my VPN work normally. However, Chrome and every other browser behave as if the computer is offline. Other devices on the same network can browse without problems, so this seems specific to the PC. I already disabled the "Automatically detect settings" option under Proxy settings, but that made no difference. What else should I check?

Check whether the browser is using Secure DNS. A VPN can sometimes interfere with the browser’s encrypted DNS connection even while other apps continue working. In Chrome, open Settings, search for “Secure DNS,” and temporarily turn it off or set it to use your current service provider. Then restart the browser.
Temporarily disconnect the VPN completely, restart the browser, and test a site. If that does not help, reconnect the VPN and try restarting its connection. VPN browser filtering or DNS settings can sometimes affect browsers separately from other programs.
Turning the VPN off and back on was the first thing I tried, but it did not change anything.
Try opening a private or incognito browser window. If websites work there, an extension, cookie, or saved browser setting is probably causing the problem. You can also reset the browser to its default settings if the private window works.
I’m not very tech-savvy, and my computer uses a different language. Could you explain the steps for trying both options?
Open Command Prompt and test whether the computer can reach the router by running `ping 192.168.1.1` or the router address shown in your network details. If the ping fails, the local network configuration may be the issue. If it succeeds, the problem is more likely related to browser settings, DNS, or security software.

How do I find that setting? Please use direct, simple wording because I have to translate the instructions.
