I'm evaluating AnyDesk, ScreenConnect, Splashtop, LogMeIn Resolve, and TeamViewer for remote management. We're still testing firewall rules, but when the test laptop connects over 5G and bypasses the corporate firewall, TeamViewer feels dramatically faster and smoother than the others. LogMeIn Resolve has been nearly unusable at times. Is this typical, or could configuration and network restrictions be affecting the results? I want to compare the remaining products fairly before choosing one. AnyDesk is already ruled out for us.

A slower product isn’t necessarily less reliable. In poor network conditions, some tools degrade more gracefully by reducing image quality, reconnecting automatically, or prioritizing input over video smoothness. I’ve seen TeamViewer perform best on a good connection, while other tools remain more usable when bandwidth is limited. Test both scenarios, not just the 5G bypass test.
MeshCentral is another option worth testing if you want a fast, flexible remote-access platform. It works across Windows, macOS, and Linux and can provide useful browser, terminal, and system-management access. It may not match every commercial RMM’s integrations, but it performed very well in repeated connection tests.
