I recently switched from Windows to Bazzite and am still learning how hardware updates work on Linux. My system has an Intel CPU and an Intel Arc A750 GPU. On Windows, I used Intel's software tools to update drivers and manage the graphics card, but I haven't found equivalent Intel utilities for Bazzite. Do I need to install anything or manually update the CPU and GPU drivers, and how can I check which driver is currently being used?

Intel Arc support is built into the Linux kernel and graphics components included with Bazzite. There’s no Intel utility equivalent that you need to install. Bazzite’s system images are tested as a complete package, so manually swapping kernel or driver versions isn’t normally supported.
Unlike Windows, Linux usually gets hardware drivers through the distribution rather than separate manufacturer utilities. For Intel hardware on Bazzite, normal system updates are the main thing you need to do; there’s no separate CPU driver update process.
Just update Bazzite through its normal update process. This can include the kernel, Mesa/OpenGL components, and available device firmware. If you want to confirm that the Arc card is detected and see its active driver, you can run `lspci -nnk | grep -i drv` in a terminal. The driver and graphics stack may also improve with newer Bazzite releases.
You generally don’t update Intel drivers manually on Bazzite. The kernel, graphics stack, and hardware support are updated as part of the normal Bazzite system updates, so keeping the OS up to date also keeps the relevant drivers current.
