I'm planning a high-end PC mainly for 1440p gaming, with some hobbyist 3D modeling and rendering on the side. I'd appreciate a second opinion on the parts list: are there better alternatives, components that are overpriced for what they offer, or any choices that are outright poor value? I'm especially unsure about the memory, storage, and whether an RTX 5080 is appropriate for my use case. I've also updated the build based on some initial suggestions.

The memory is a weak point for a build at this price. DDR5-4800 CL40 is quite slow, and moving to a 6000 MT/s CL30 kit would cost only a little more while providing better performance. X3D processors aren’t extremely memory-sensitive, but the faster kit is still the better choice for a premium system.
An RTX 5080 can be excessive for 1440p and isn’t necessarily the best value for ordinary gaming. A Radeon 9070 XT offers excellent performance per pound at that resolution. However, the right choice depends heavily on the software you’ll use for rendering.
If Blender or other CUDA-dependent 3D and VFX software is involved, Nvidia is the safer option. Some applications either perform much better with CUDA or don’t support competing platforms properly. You may not need the full power of a 5080 as a hobbyist, but it can still significantly reduce render times and help with more complex scenes.
I’d replace the 2.5-inch SATA SSD with a faster NVMe drive. Gaming load times may not change dramatically, but faster storage can help with other workloads, especially 3D projects and rendering. A higher-end TLC-based drive such as the P510 would be a worthwhile step up from the UD90 for roughly £30 more.
