I have a Python exam in about two weeks, and many of the questions are expected to be similar to the exercises on CodingBat. I currently only understand the basics, so I'm looking for advice on how to work through the problems effectively and actually learn from them. Should I study in a particular order or use specific techniques when I get stuck?

Use CodingBat as active practice rather than just trying to finish as many exercises as possible. Read the prompt, predict what the code should do, test small examples, and explain your solution in your own words afterward. When asking for help, include the exercise, your attempt, and what result you expected versus what you got.
Start by working through the exercises yourself instead of looking for someone to guide you step by step. Spend a reasonable amount of time trying different approaches, and write down exactly where your thinking breaks down. Specific questions are much easier to answer than a general request for help.
A stepping debugger can be extremely useful while learning. It lets you run your code one line at a time and inspect how variables change, so you can see why a loop, condition, or function isn’t behaving as expected. If you haven’t used one before, try it with a small program first.
I haven’t used a debugger before, but I’ll look into stepping through a simple program.

That makes sense. I’ll start working through them and ask about specific problems if I get stuck.
