I've been experiencing issues with my HP OMEN since I accidentally left it on the desktop after getting frustrated with a game. Now the mouse cursor is jittery, and even videos on YouTube are acting weird. I have an Intel i7-14700k processor running at 3.40GHz, and I'm using an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER. Could anyone shed some light on what might be causing this? I'm not very tech-savvy and I'd really appreciate any help!

Have you tried a classic troubleshooting step? Turning your PC off and then back on can sometimes fix these weird glitches. It’s old school, but it works more often than you’d think!
Just to clarify, it helps to know what software you're running, too. If you're on Windows, make sure your drivers are all up to date. Graphics drivers can have a huge impact on performance!
First off, check if your CPU temperature is too high or if the clockspeeds are off. High temperatures can cause performance issues, so it might be a good idea to monitor those. If you're not sure how to do this, there are apps that can help you check temps easily!
I see my CPU is around 29°C, but it spikes up to 84.2°C sometimes. Is that too hot?
Ah! I should’ve mentioned that—it’s a Windows PC. I'll make sure my drivers are checked!
Yeah, I’ve tried that and even did a factory reset. That's about the extent of my tech skills.
