What’s the best way to run FL Studio on Linux?

I installed Linux on an older PC and have been enjoying it, but FL Studio is the main Windows application I still use. There's no native Linux version, and the workarounds I've tried have been unreliable and buggy. What's the most dependable way to run FL Studio on Linux, and are there any suitable native alternatives if it isn't practical?

FL Studio doesn’t have a native Linux release. You can try running it through Wine or Bottles, but audio software can be especially troublesome because of plugins, drivers, latency, and audio interfaces. If you need reliable FL Studio support, dual-booting or keeping a Windows machine is usually the least frustrating option.

It may be worth trying a Linux-native DAW instead. Bitwig is probably the closest alternative for creative sound design and electronic production, while REAPER is a strong choice for more traditional recording and mixing workflows. Both avoid many of the compatibility problems caused by running Windows audio software through a compatibility layer.

Bottles has an installer entry for FL Studio that may make setup easier than configuring Wine manually. How well it works can depend on your FL Studio version, plugins, graphics setup, and audio hardware, so expect some experimentation rather than a guaranteed solution.
