Hey everyone! I've got an Asrock B450M Pro4-F motherboard and recently tried upgrading my RAM for gaming. After swapping the RAM sticks, my PC won't turn on properly anymore. It lights up for a brief moment like it's trying to start, but then shuts off and repeats this cycle after a few seconds.
I made sure to get the RAM type specified in the motherboard manual, and I didn't change the slots at all—just removed the old sticks and replaced them with new ones. After the new RAM didn't work, I put the old ones back in, but the problem persists.
I also attempted to clear the CMOS by using the jump pins and removing the battery, but that didn't help. I've unplugged and replugged most of the cables, except the case fans, and still no luck. This PC has worked fine for over 5 years, so any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

Could you share the specs of both your old and new RAM? Also, double-check if the RAM sticks are fully seated in the slots. Sometimes, DDR4 sticks can seem like they're in but aren't clicked in properly. Have you connected a motherboard speaker to hear any beep codes? It can give hints about the problem, but I know your motherboard lacks debug LEDs. Just a thought!
Thanks for the tips! I’ve taken the RAM in and out multiple times trying to be careful, but I wasn’t pushing hard enough. I think that fixed it—appreciate your help!
