Hey everyone! I just built my first PC and I'm waiting to grab a GPU at a good price. Right now, I'm looking at either an RTX 3060 for $320 or an RTX 4060 for $340. I'm curious if the 4060 would be a decent upgrade over the 3060. I've heard some chatter that 8GB of VRAM might not cut it, which makes me lean toward the 3060. By the way, my CPU is a 7600. Any advice would be awesome! Thanks!

The RTX 4060 is indeed a bit faster than the 3060 but the difference isn't huge. Honestly, if you can hold off a little longer, the newly launched RTX 5060 could be a better option if it’s priced reasonably. Also, what resolution are you gaming at? All these GPUs will perform alright at 1080p but may struggle with anything higher like 1440p.
It's 1080p for now. I figured they’d have a tough time at 1440p. I'm mostly into older games from before 2023, and I want to play titles like Witcher 3 and Baldur's Gate with decent settings and 60+ fps.
