I just got back my PC from Micro Center after upgrading to a new motherboard, but it seems like all my BIOS settings got reset. Now, I'm experiencing significant frame drops while playing games like Fortnite. My frame rates can be as high as 240 but then plummet to around 116 or 150. I've got a 7800 XT GPU and the 7800 X3D CPU, which I purchased as a bundle. Is there something I can do to stabilize my frame rates?

Have you checked your motherboard and cooler setup? Those can definitely affect performance. You want to make sure everything is properly connected and cooled, especially with a high-performance CPU like the 7800 X3D.
Make sure to set your RAM to run at 6000 MT/s in the BIOS, and don't forget to update your chipset drivers. Uninstall the old ones before installing the new ones because the X3D CPUs need different driver components compared to standard AM5 CPUs.
Frame drops can happen with any CPU in various games; it really comes down to many factors. In some scenarios, the 7800 X3D can actually perform worse than the 7700X. Tweaking your RAM to run at 6000 MHz and adjusting timings can help improve performance, especially if bandwidth is a bottleneck.
It might not be your CPU causing the issue. I've heard that AMD cards can struggle with Fortnite due to how the game is optimized. Try seeing if you notice similar performance in other games before assuming it's a problem.
If you're seeing percentage lows, don't stress too much. Some games, including Fortnite, have a tendency to fluctuate in performance. I've seen people hit averages over 500 FPS but still drop below 100 occasionally, so it's not uncommon.
So basically, I shouldn't worry about it too much?
When I play BO6, for example, my FPS sits at around 265 average.
