Hey everyone! I just got a new Snapdragon laptop, and I'm curious if there's a way to set it up without needing an online Microsoft account. I've heard about some methods involving USBs and tools like Rufus, but I won't have access to a USB drive or reliable internet for a little while. Are there any tweaks I can do during the first boot to skip this requirement, or should I just wait until I can use the Rufus method?

You can create a local account at setup. Just make sure your laptop isn't connected to the internet during the process. If it’s Windows Home, it might require you to sign into a Microsoft account, but with Windows Pro, you can easily bypass that.
You can try not connecting to the internet during the setup and press SHIFT + F10 when you see the setup screen. This should bring up the command prompt where you can type "OOBEBYPASSNRO" to bypass the initial setup, including the Microsoft account requirement.
From my experience with Windows 11, I couldn't create a local account, and I was forced to sign in with a Microsoft account. But it seems like some new tips are floating around, so it might be worth trying the command prompt method if you can access it!
