I'm looking for some advice on choosing between the i5-12600K and the i5-13600KF since they're both priced the same at $125. I plan to pair either of them with a Radeon RX 580 and a Z690 motherboard. My main focus is video editing, but I do some gaming too. Which one do you think would be a better fit for my needs?

I recommend keeping the 13600KF unless you think you’ll really need the integrated GPU. It might help a bit with offloading tasks when your main GPU gets overloaded, especially during video exports in Adobe.
Do you already own any of these parts?
Yeah, I can return either the 12600K or the 13600KF. I’m leaning towards returning the 12600K and keeping the 13600KF. What do you think? I know I need to upgrade the GPU but this is all I have at the moment.
The i5-13600KF is generally the stronger option performance-wise, but it does consume more power. Just make sure your motherboard's BIOS is updated to the latest version for optimal performance.
kk, thanks!! Yeah, I may have to flash the mobo. I just bought it and need to see if it needs flashing. Thanks!
Thanks! The only benefit to having the iGPU for me is offloading some tasks when the GPU is strained, like during video exports.
