It's only mid-May, but we're already getting requests to submit our budget resources for 2026. From my perspective in Windows infrastructure, two key EOL dates to note: Windows Server 2016 reaches its end of life at the end of 2026 (specifically, Patch Tuesday in January 2027), and Office 365 support for Windows Server 2022 is set to end in October 2026. The only way forward is either to upgrade to Server 2025 or transition to Azure. Plus, Amazon Linux 2 will go EOL on June 30, 2026, while Tomcat 9.x won't hit its EOL until 2027. I'm curious if there are other significant EOL dates in 2026 that folks are planning for?

Don't forget about SQL Server 2016; it's hitting EOL on July 14, 2026. Planning on migrating to 2019 or 2022?
Check out this website for a comprehensive list of EOL dates: https://endoflife.date/. There might be tools out there that can integrate with this data for tracking purposes.
I just heard about that site! If you find any tools that work with it, let us know!
I’m just trying to get through 2026 without too many headaches. Who knows how the budget will look with all these cuts? I’m already looking at server quotes and being cautious about what I can get—definitely need some extra GPUs.
Hang in there! Even if budgets are tight, sometimes we manage to scrape through with a little extra help.
Are you expecting any challenges? I've already upgraded from 2008/2012 to 2019 without too much trouble, but I'm hesitating to move to 2022 now.
