I'm currently using GoToAssist for remote support but I'm curious about what everyone else is using and why. Are there better options out there? I'd love to hear your thoughts as I'm thinking of revisiting this topic amidst my other ongoing projects.

I’ve been using ScreenConnect since 2015 and I really can't complain. I just have the basic license, which allows for 3 active sessions and 100 devices, and it's pretty affordable at around $600 a year. It's been smooth sailing all these years!

GoToAssist seems to offer similar features and is around the same price. I'll definitely consider adding ScreenConnect to my options.

I’ve used Rustdesk, and it’s a fantastic option if you're looking for something free and self-hosted. It's pretty easy for users to operate, and their paid version is great too, allowing up to 500 devices with easy custom branding for installers!

That's a solid option! Their paid plan has some appealing features for sure.

Honestly, I think ScreenConnect is the best of all the remote support tools I've tried. It's really user-friendly—non-techies can pick it up easily. Yes, the price has gone up, but it’s still competitive. I also integrated it with our Entra ID logins using SAML; it’s customizable, though the setup can be a bit tricky at first.

I really like NinjaRMM for remote support. It’s not just limited to that; it also offers configuration and patch management. So if you're in need of those features, it’s worth considering!

We often use QuickAssist because most of our users are close by. It's helpful for quick rescues and transitions without needing a full suite. Sometimes it runs into issues with UAC, but it does the job for us.

QuickAssist helped us a lot when we were onboarding a new office, but we did encounter those UAC problems too.

If you're looking for something a bit more robust, BeyondTrust is great, but it's on the pricey side. I’ve used it before and it never failed us—definitely a favorite among helpdesk teams!

Yeah, it’s quite effective but I’d agree it's also costly.
