What can I do if my power supply only has one PCIe cable with two connectors?

I recently built a PC and ran into a frustrating issue with my power supply. Initially, I purchased one that lacked the necessary two PCIe cables for my graphics card, so I returned it for another that claimed to include two. However, I discovered it only has one PCIe cable with two connectors. Is there any way to make this configuration work with my setup? Here's the link to my build for reference: https://ie.pcpartpicker.com/list/DGPGwY.

I totally agree with going for fully modular power supplies next time. They’re much easier to manage and you get to choose exactly which cables you need without any confusion.

When I buy a power supply, I make it a habit to check the back to see how many PCIe 8-pin ports it actually has. This can save you a lot of headaches! You should definitely confirm how many individual ports your power supply has before you buy.

True! But I think the OP's power supply is semi-modular. It might have the ports for two PCIe 6+2 cables, so those cables should ideally have been included.

To solve the issue, can you tell me which GPU you're pairing with the power supply? That info will be really helpful in finding a workaround!

I'll add the link to my build for better context.

Honestly, if you're dealing with one cable that splits, it shouldn't be a problem. Manufacturers design their cables to handle the power requirements properly. Each 8-pin PCIe connector can support up to 150W, so a single cable with two connectors could technically manage up to 300W. Just make sure everything is connected securely!
