Why is my FPS lower after upgrading to a Ryzen 5 5600X?

I recently upgraded from an i5 6600K (overclocked to 4.4GHz) to a Ryzen 5 5600X using an MSI A520M-A PRO motherboard. I've also replaced the thermal pads and paste on my RX480 GPU, which dropped its temperature from 90°C to 80°C. After installing a new CPU cooler, I'm curious if it might be applying too much pressure on the CPU. I removed Intel drivers due to some screen flickering, which seems to have stopped, but Windows is prompting me to update the Intel system drivers, although I left that pending.

While I've noticed CS 2 runs more smoothly now with no freezes, my FPS has actually decreased from 120-160 to 100-140. I expected a boost in performance due to no longer being CPU bottlenecked. Is it possible that I might have messed up my GPU during these changes, or would I benefit from a Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU)? Has anyone else encountered a similar issue or know what could be causing this? Just to add some context: my CPU usage is around 25-35%, which is an improvement from 100%. The GPU remains at 100% usage, but its temperature is 10°C lower than before. My RAM is running at 3200MHz (overclocked), A-XMP is enabled, and the CPU core is clocked at 3600MHz but can boost to 4500MHz during gaming. I'm not sure what's going on since I thought my motherboard couldn't handle overclocking.

Have you thought about updating the BIOS for your motherboard? Sometimes, new CPUs need the latest firmware to work optimally with new components. It might help resolve some of the performance issues you're seeing.
