Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a bind! I've got some work due in a couple of days, and I'm really stressed about this issue. I recently upgraded my PC from a Ryzen 3600 to a Ryzen 5900x, and now when I try to shut it down, I have to long press the power button. Normally, it would shut down just fine, so I'm worried something's wrong. Here are my specs: MSI B550 Tomahawk, new 750W Coolermaster PSU, RTX 3080, Ryzen 5900x, and 32GB RAM with an AIO cooler. It was working perfectly before. I've checked the temperatures, and everything seems okay, but I live pretty far from my technician, so getting help isn't easy right now. Any suggestions?

I wonder if there are any power saving settings that might be interfering. Sometimes Windows updates can change these, causing quirky shutdown behaviors. Try updating your drivers, too, especially for your motherboard and chipset. Sometimes a simple update can fix these weird issues!
Sounds like your PC might be entering sleep mode instead of shutting down completely. Try this: go to the control panel by searching for it in Windows, set it to view by category, and navigate to Hardware and Sound. Under power options, click 'Change what the power buttons do.' Make sure you've set it to shut down and not just sleep. This could help get it working right again!
Thanks for the tip! I checked that setting already, but it still only turns off the monitor while the PC stays on. Any other ideas?
I haven't done driver updates yet. I'll give that a shot next and see if it makes a difference! Thanks!
