I'm looking to replace my MSI B650 Edge Wi-Fi with a motherboard that's actually reliable. I want something that consistently boots to Windows—that doesn't stop working unexpectedly. Has anyone had experiences or recommendations? What boards do you use that you trust?

Haha, this thread is too funny. People keep flocking to the 9800X3D!
I've had the MSI MAG X870 Tomahawk Wi-Fi and it’s been trouble-free. I’ve owned multiple MSI boards, including the B360 and B460, and have had zero issues with BIOS or RAM. If you're looking for stability, I definitely suggest sticking with MSI.
So, the B650 isn't a good fit for the 9800X3D? My LED indicators show both the CPU and DRAM as not detected. It was working fine yesterday!
I’ve got the MSI X670E Gaming Plus Wi-Fi and it’s been perfect for me. Have you had to update the BIOS at all?
MSI boards are my top pick. I recently got the MSI B650 Pro-S as a bundle. I've heard ASRock is doing great things, but stay away from Asus—they've had a bad track record with CPUs. Gigabyte can be decent, but I've seen complaints about their boards too. Really sounds like your B650 needs to be returned rather than being a systemic issue with the boards.
But why can it boot up fast one day, and then just sit on a black screen with a dash for hours the next?
I've been using my B850 Edge Wi-Fi for a month without any issues. If you're facing problems, have you thought about returning the board for a replacement?
I'm starting that process now! But how does it go from working one day to not even getting past the black screen the next?
It's a solid CPU! Intel's current offerings aren’t impressing anyone, which is why they’re dropping in price.
