I've been having some low FPS issues in a few of my games, so I decided to tweak my XMP profile hoping to boost performance. It did help me gain a slight increase in FPS, but now I notice in Task Manager that only 2 out of 4 RAM slots are being utilized. Is there a way to speed up the RAM and make sure all 4 RAM sticks are being used effectively? Here are my system specs:
- Case: NZXT S340 Elite (White)
- Motherboard: Gigabyte X570
- CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x 6-core Unlocked
- GPU: EVGA RTX 3080ti XC3
- RAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 4000 32GB (4x8GB)
- PSU: NZXT 850 80+ Gold
- Storage: Samsung 870 QVO 1TB SSD, Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD, Intel NVMe M.2 512GB SSD
- Cooling: Kraken X62 AIO with NZXT G12 GPU Mounting Plate, Arctic 120 AIO
- WiFi: TP Link AX3000
- OS: Windows 10
Thanks for any help!

That's strange behavior. When you disable XMP, are all your RAM slots recognized again?
It sounds like your motherboard might not be handling the RAM speed well at those settings. When you enable XMP or DOCP, sometimes it can lead to issues if the FCLK on your Ryzen CPU isn't synced correctly. Try dropping your RAM speed to DDR4 3600 and manually set the FCLK to 1800MHz. This setup usually helps with stability. After that, you can check ZenTimings to ensure everything is set up right. Also, consider enabling Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) and increasing the boost clock by 200MHz for a little extra performance in games that rely heavily on the CPU.
