How to Remove Plastic Pegs Securing M.2 Drive in My Old PC?

I'm upgrading my wife's setup and need to transfer the M.2 drive from her Lenovo IdeaCentre Gaming 5 to my old PC. I've already swapped the HDD, which was easy, but I'm stuck on this plastic peg that seems to hold the M.2 drive in place. I've tried twisting it, but it just bounces back. Pulling it straight up doesn't seem to work either, and I don't want to break anything. Does anyone have tips on how to properly remove it?

Those plastic pegs are designed to secure the M.2 drive. Normally, turning it 90 degrees should release the drive, so make sure you're twisting it in the right direction. Sometimes they can be tricky, so don't force it too hard if it resists too much. Just be gentle and see if you can pop it out without too much pressure.

If you have access to the bottom side, check if it's a pop-in design like some wall anchors. If it is, pulling it will release it, but it might look different from the top. If it's tricky to access, you might need to try a different angle.

I found the manual for similar models, and they suggest pulling it up is all you need to do, but sometimes it helps to give a little twist while you pull. If you haven't already, check out the tutorial link I found [here](https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/pub/v520/en/contents/crus13.html). It might provide more clarity.

Yeah, those pegs hold the M.2 drive securely in place. If you're looking to replace them later, you might find similar ones on sites like eBay. Just be careful when removing them; they can sometimes feel like they're stuck.
