My SSD Enclosure Isn’t Working – Should I Buy a New SSD?

Hey everyone! I just picked up an SSD enclosure along with a 128GB Timetec SSD, but it doesn't seem to be recognized. I suspect the SSD might be at fault since it was pretty cheap. Before I go ahead and buy a replacement, I'd like to know if I should get a different SSD or if there might be another issue with my setup. Any thoughts?

Quick question: are you connecting the SSD enclosure via a USB-C cable to a USB-C port on your computer? Also, make sure the SSD is properly seated in the enclosure. Have you checked the Device Manager to see if the drive shows up there?

It seems like your SSD is a SATA drive in an M.2 format. You should check if your enclosure supports SATA drives because if it only supports NVME, that could be the issue. Can you share a link to the enclosure for more clarity?
