I'm super excited to upgrade from my 3070 to a 9070 XT! However, I only have one PCIe connector on my EVGA 850GQ and don't have access to the original PSU cables. I found this cable on Amazon that states it's compatible, but I want to know if it's a safe choice before I proceed. Here's the link: [Amazon Cable](https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CD7Q1DC9?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title). I'm located in the UK, by the way. Thanks for your help!

It should work based on the description, but I'd recommend being safe and checking the connections with a multimeter to make sure everything's correctly aligned. There's no universal standard for modular cables, which can make things tricky. You definitely want to avoid sending power down the wrong line!
Given the cable you found, it sounds like you'll have one original cable and this new one. Just be cautious with using pigtail connectors since they can sometimes cause problems. As long as the new cable is specified as compatible, you should be fine!
It might be better to just buy a new PSU since you only have one PCIe connector. That way, you won't have to worry about any compatibility issues. Just a thought!

If I don't have a multimeter, is just checking continuity enough to feel safe about it?
