Can I Land a Job with Just an Associate’s Degree in Software Engineering?

Hey everyone! I'm a student at my community college working towards an associate's degree in software engineering, specifically in full stack development. I'll be finishing up my degree next year, and I'm curious if it's realistic to find a job with just this degree, whether with a small or big company. I'd also appreciate any advice on what skills I should focus on to increase my chances of landing a position when I start looking. I'm planning to develop a website to showcase my portfolio, along with some games and programs I create while studying. Thanks a lot!

Absolutely, there are many companies that prioritize your practical skills over your degree. The key is to choose a specific tech stack and dive deep into it, rather than spreading yourself thin across many languages. Focus on mastering a few tools well.

Thanks for the encouragement! I’ll look into that. I’ve been feeling a bit discouraged lately with all the languages, so it's nice to hear this!
