Why Are My Teams Backgrounds Always Showing Up Reversed?

Hey everyone, I'm really struggling with an issue involving Teams backgrounds. My organization wants to upload six backgrounds, each containing our company logo and name, but no matter how I upload them—frontwards or backwards—they always show up reversed. This should be a simple task, especially since we have Teams Premium, but it's driving me absolutely crazy. Can anyone help me figure out why this is happening?

From what I've experienced, the reversed image is often just for you, not for the others in the call. They typically see it correctly while you see the mirrored version. If you haven't already, I'd suggest doing test calls with a coworker to confirm how it looks for them.

If it shows up reversed for everyone, that’s definitely an odd issue. You might want to try renaming your files to clear any cache problems. Sometimes the system doesn't overwrite properly if it thinks it's the same file. Would a few tests with uniquely named images help?

One potential workaround is to pre-reverse the images so when Teams flips them, they end up right side up. Just don't forget to test it with a colleague!

Have you checked if your camera's mirror option is on? It does mirror your self-view, but that shouldn't affect what others see. Maybe try uploading them with different filenames? Sometimes the system caches the first version, which might be causing confusion. Just double-check the basics—you'll get it sorted out, I believe in you!

If you’ve tried everything and it’s still acting up, you might be dealing with a deeper issue. Unfortunately, it sounds like only Microsoft can really sort this out in the end. Good luck!
