Will My Current Case Support a New GPU?

I have a case I bought that originally worked well with my GTX 1050 Ti and Ryzen 5 2600. Now, I've upgraded to a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and an RX 6600. I'm considering getting either an RX 9070 XT or an RTX 5070 Ti next. My concern is whether my current case will provide enough airflow for these new, hotter GPUs. Is it better for me to get a new case along with the GPU and PSU, or can I use my current case for a while longer without any issues?

Heat could be a concern with those GPUs. You could try running your case with the side panel off for extra cooling if you encounter any issues. Just keep an eye on the temperatures once you upgrade!

Your case has a GPU clearance of 450mm, which means both the RX 9070 XT and RTX 5070 Ti should fit just fine. The Gigabyte version of the RTX 5070 Ti is about 340mm, so check the height, but you should be good to go!

Thanks! I’ll definitely take a look at the dimensions before making any decisions.

As long as your case can accommodate the length and height of the new GPU, you should be fine. Just double-check the specs of the GPUs and your case to make sure everything fits well.

If both GPUs fit into your case without any problem, there's really no urgent need to get a new one. Just make sure they can physically fit in there!

You can generally find the GPU dimensions on the product detail pages. Compare those to your current setup or measure it out with a ruler to be sure!
