Which GPU should I choose for my first PC build?

I'm building my first PC from scratch, and I need some advice on selecting a graphics card. My setup includes an MSI Pro B650M-A motherboard and a Ryzen 5 7600 CPU. I'm primarily a computer science student, so I will be using this PC for AI work as well as casual gaming. I know that an AMD RX 7800 XT would be a better value, but I'm really leaning towards NVIDIA since I've heard AMD isn't great for AI. I'm considering the RTX 4070 Super (12GB), RTX 5070 (12GB), RTX 4060 Ti (16GB), and I also have the option to get the RTX 5060 Ti (16GB). The pricing where I live is 5070 > 4070 > 4060. Given my needs, what should I choose? My current GPU is a GTX 1060 3GB, so this is a significant upgrade for me!

Check if the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is available in your area. If it is, that could be a solid option for AI work due to the higher VRAM.

Yes, it's available where I live!

If you can afford the RTX 5070, that's definitely the best choice out of your options. It should serve you well for both AI tasks and gaming.

But isn't the 5060 Ti with 16GB VRAM better for certain tasks? Does VRAM matter that much when comparing these two?

I'd definitely recommend going for the RTX 5070 if you can find it at a good price, ideally around $500-$600. While some users aren't thrilled about its performance compared to the 4090, it's still a strong card for both casual gaming and AI projects.

But come on, my 4070 runs games on high/ultra at 1440p like a champ! You're saying the 5070 is only good for light gaming?
