I've forgotten the Apple ID password for my old iPhone 8, and I'm in a bit of a bind. I deleted the Gmail account that my Apple account was set up with years ago, so I can't use it to recover my password. I've tried almost everything I can think of, and the only option I see is deactivating the device via 3utools, but I'm not sure if that will actually help. I don't know if two-factor authentication is enabled, but I do know that Find My is turned on.

You might want to try using Apple's official support tool for account recovery. It can guide you through the steps to reset your password without needing access to the old email. Just check out their support site, and see if it works for you!
I tried that, but I got an error message saying my Apple account isn’t valid. Do you think contacting Apple Support directly is worth the time?
