I just got myself a 1TB M.2 drive and moved my Windows installation there, so now I have a 250GB SSD free for a Linux OS. I have some experience with Ubuntu from college and feel pretty confident with terminal commands. I'm considering whether to install Debian or Arch, but I'm still not quite sure what the best option would be.

EndeavourOS could be perfect for you if you're leaning towards Arch. It's an easier version of Arch that still gives you the control you might be looking for.
If you're unsure, you might want to try out Debian in a live environment first. It gives you a chance to explore without making permanent changes to your system. Arch is great, but be ready to install everything yourself! If that's your thing, go for it.
I’d recommend trying Fedora Workstation or its KDE edition. Mint and Zorin are also user-friendly and worth considering.
Mint is a solid choice, especially if you want something user-friendly. Debian is also a great backup option if you want something stable.
If you're curious about something a bit different, check out openSUSE for its rolling release. It's reliable and has been working well for me.
