I'm considering upgrading my PC from a GTX 1060 and an Intel i5 9400F to a new build. Here's the link to my proposed parts: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/st6jh7](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/st6jh7). Do you all think this build is solid?

If you've got a RTX 4060, then that's a great choice. If you don't already have it, maybe consider a different option altogether.
I actually have a recommendation! Check out this build instead: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Pt6jh7](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Pt6jh7). It's just $15 more, but you'll get two extra CPU cores. Plus, the RAM is cheaper with the same specs, and the motherboard is newer with a PCIe Gen 5 slot. Just make sure, if you don't have a GPU yet, to maybe think about going with a Ryzen 5 7600 and an RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB. It's a great combo!
What are the real benefits of PCIe Gen 5? Is it worth paying more for?
