Hey everyone! I've been lurking for a bit and wanted to share my experience. I just graduated and spent the past year going through a rotational program at my bank, working with three different teams – API Development, Web Development, and DevSecOps. To my surprise, I've been placed on the DevSecOps team full-time after they appreciated my quick learning and positive attitude, especially since I was new to this type of work, focusing on their enterprise Jenkins pipelines.
Now that I'm officially on the team, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by the wealth of information I need to digest. We're responsible for the CI/CD pipeline and maintaining various development tools (like NecusIQ, Nexus, and Crucible) as well as productivity tools from Atlassian.
So, I'm reaching out to see if anyone has any recommendations for courses or channels that could help me grasp DevOps fundamentals better. I know it's not common for someone at my level to dive into DevOps, but I'm eager to make the most of this opportunity! Thanks for your help!

I totally recommend checking out Tech World with Nana! Her videos are super informative and easy to follow. She covers a lot of ground on DevOps principles and tools - definitely subscribe to her channel!
Absolutely! Her explanations make complex topics much easier to understand.
Flexibility and a desire to learn are crucial. It's common in DevOps to not become an expert right away. Try to gather knowledge about different areas like infrastructure and security, and know how to find answers instead of just memorizing them. Keep that learning mindset!
Great advice! It's a journey, not a race.
For sure! Embrace the learning curve and don’t rush it!
A good way to get started is by reading up on the specific technologies your team uses. It’s important to keep learning as things will change often. Also, don't hesitate to reach out for help when you're confused – asking questions is key, especially as a junior! It shows that you're engaged and willing to learn.
I agree! Asking questions is essential. You're in a great spot to grow!
Exactly! Plus, using resources like AI for help is fine, just make sure you understand what you get back.
Yeah, she’s a fantastic resource! I learned so much from her.
