Hey everyone! I'm currently helping out a small family-run business with their IT needs, and I'm on the lookout for a budget-friendly endpoint and user management solution. We're managing 20 Windows PCs, 2 Chromebooks, and 12 mobile devices that access various company resources, all while using Google Workspace Business Starter for our email and documents.
Here's what I'm aiming for:
1. **User Access Management:** I want to control which users can access specific Windows devices, possibly integrating with Google Workspace SSO. Remote access controls would also be great.
2. **Application Management:** I need to restrict unauthorized software and ensure that trusted applications like QuickBooks can update automatically.
3. **Automated Backups:** Backing up key user data automatically would be a priority.
4. **Shared Folder Access:** I want easy control over shared folders with fine-grained permissions.
5. **Printer Configuration:** Looking for a way to deploy printers centrally or via script.
6. **Remote Access & Antivirus:** We currently use Splashtop for remote access, but I'd love to find an all-in-one solution that handles remote support, antivirus, and management.
I've checked out a few options like Hexnode, NinjaOne, JumpCloud, Atera, and Microsoft Entra + Intune, but I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone with real experience using these tools in similar setups. Any suggestions or insights would be awesome! Thanks!

I’ve had good experiences with Securden Unified PAM. It covers user access management and allows you to define specific control policies. It’s scalable and integrates well with enterprise solutions like Google and Microsoft. There's also a solid pricing model for small businesses. Just heads up, it doesn’t come with antivirus features.
You should definitely look into Trellix’s MVISION Mobile. It offers comprehensive user access management, though I’m not sure how well it integrates with Google Workspace. Still, it might meet a lot of your needs!
Thanks for the tip! I’ll check it out and let you know how it goes!
365 Business Premium could be your best bet. It includes everything from Entra P1 to Intune and Defender. Plus, you can add AdminByRequest for local privilege handling, which is super convenient. Just remember to factor in licensing costs for each user if you stick with Google Workspace for email.
Good to know! I’ll have to do some math on those costs.
That sounds promising! I’ll explore it further.
