I recently picked up a prebuilt PC at a decent price, but I realized they skimped on the cooling components. The power supply seems fine, but the case and fans could definitely use an upgrade. Currently, there's just one low-quality stock fan at the rear. My case can support two 120mm fans on the top and two more at the bottom for intake.
I'm trying to figure out the best fan setup. Would it be worth it to get all four fans, or would having one intake fan at the bottom and one exhaust fan at the top suffice? Should I keep the stock rear fan for extra intake or remove it altogether? I'm considering buying three fans and upgrading the rear one to improve airflow.
My system has a Ryzen 7 8700F with the stock Wraith cooler, and I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to upgrade that too. I'm seeing my GPU hit about 83°C after extended use, while my CPU temperatures climb to around 90°C even with light gaming, staying around 20% usage. I've been looking at the Corsair RS120 ARGB fans since they fit my budget, so any recommendations would be appreciated!

As for your CPU, upgrading the cooler can definitely help with those temps, especially if you’re hitting 90°C during light tasks. It’s worth looking into an aftermarket cooler for better thermal performance. Just make sure it fits your case!
It's generally a good idea to have more intake fans than exhaust to promote better airflow. Since your case has space for additional fans, I would suggest getting a couple more to improve cooling. Check out the Thermalright TL-C12C fans; they're quite affordable and perform well. They can really help push more air through your system!
That sounds like a solid plan! I also had the same issue and ended up getting three fans for intake and it made a big difference.
Great advice! I’ll look into some options for the cooler as well.
