How Can I Prove Ownership of My Apple Watch Without a Serial Number on the Receipt?

Hey everyone! I bought my Apple Watch a few years back from a retail store, and while I still have the receipt, it doesn't include the serial number—only the packaging has it. I've tried to ask the store to give me a new receipt with the serial number, but unfortunately, they can't help with that. Apple won't recognize my receipt as proof of ownership without the serial number. I'm really stuck here and could use some advice on what to do next!

Just out of curiosity, why do you need to prove ownership? Are you trying to remove an activation lock or something?

Yeah, I need to remove the activation lock, and that’s where the proof of ownership is crucial.

I've been in a similar situation before. Some people suggest just writing the serial number on your receipt before submitting it to Apple. It's not a guaranteed fix, but it might help. Just make sure you add it clearly to each page you submit!

Exactly! Just jot it down on top of the receipt pages you send in. It's worked for others.
