Could My RAM Be Causing Compatibility Issues?

I'm working on a build with an MSI B760M Mortar II WiFi motherboard, a 750W PSU, and I've got two 16GB sticks of Corsair DDR5 Vengeance RAM. The problem arises when I try to add the second RAM stick: my GPU doesn't display anything, and my mouse and keyboard don't power on. The PC boots fine otherwise, but I've noticed the DRAM light turns orange/red whenever I insert the second stick. Could this be a compatibility issue?

You might be running into a compatibility issue, but it's also possible that a BIOS update could fix it. I remember when I built my first PC, I had a similar issue where my GPU wouldn’t display anything with both sticks. Once I updated the BIOS with just one stick in, both worked afterward. I have no idea why it worked, but it did!

It sounds like the second stick might be defective if the first one works fine alone. I’d recommend testing each stick individually to verify if one has issues. If both work separately, it might be a good idea to reset your BIOS settings to default or try updating it. That sometimes clears up weird RAM issues!

I’ve had similar problems before. Testing them one at a time is definitely a smart first step!

Make sure to double-check if the RAM is seated properly in the slots. Sometimes, it can be as simple as that. And like the others said, try resetting the BIOS after ensuring everything's set up correctly!

I had a similar issue when I built my machine. When both RAM sticks were in, I wouldn’t get a signal either, but swapping them out one by one helped me figure out the problem. A BIOS reset might help too! It's worth a shot to see what happens.
